Day grew up in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, cutting his musical teeth singing covers to half-cut punters in front bars across the pubs of South Australia. After turning to songwriting, his personal journal became a collection of lyrics, and his guitar became a tool to learn about heartache, self discovery and helpless optimism. With Lucas’s lyrical language and his groovy acoustic blues riffs with four home recorded tracks – he’s an artist to watch out for!
Rachel Coppen—vocalist for the soulful, R&B-inspired band ‘Portra’—has been gigging in the local Adelaide music scene for over a decade, starting her career as a busker in Rundle Mall. Since then, she has showcased her smooth vocals serenading loved-up crowds at weddings, or entertaining at pubs, wineries, and private events.
For more than 3 decades members of The Strung out Mamas have been performing together. Their repertoire includes all of our classical favourites, as well as gypsy, folk and pop music. They are a regular act at the Adelaide Fringe, often performing alongside The Bald Eagles.
